Chris is a senior-level communications and public affairs strategist with 20+ years of experience, who’s created and executed award-winning campaigns for a variety of corporations, startups, nonprofits, government agencies and political candidates. He has special expertise and experience in crisis management, honed through years of helping political candidates and elected officials get their message through to voters and constituents.
Chris’ areas of expertise include: public affairs, public relations, crisis communications, internal communications, social media management, media relations strategy, issues management and media training. He has developed and executed communications plans to highlight achievements of the Chicago Department of Planning & Development, organized press conferences, trained speakers written speeches for leadership, and coordinated events with businesses, the mayor’s office and other elected officials. These efforts greatly improved the department’s reputation, improved relations with the community, and bolstered relationships with the citywide business community.
Chris also directed crisis management for Sequoia Voting Systems during a high-profile system failure of electronic voting equipment in the third-largest city in the United States and served as the company spokesperson during a highly charged general election. This work entailed coordinating crisis messaging with the Cook County Clerk, conducting live interviews and creating the messaging strategy for such interviews.
